{"id":3530,"date":"2019-01-11T12:30:50","date_gmt":"2019-01-11T17:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/granitestatetaxpayers.org\/gst\/?p=3530"},"modified":"2019-02-27T01:23:21","modified_gmt":"2019-02-27T06:23:21","slug":"gst-testifies-on-election-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/granitestatetaxpayers.org\/gst\/gst-testifies-on-election-law\/","title":{"rendered":"GST Testimony on Election Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>GST<\/em> Testified against Bills to Eliminate the Reforms of Senate Bill 3 and House Bill 1264.<\/strong><br \/>\nSenate Bill (SB) 3 required registrants to provide documentation showing a presence in state.<br \/>\nHouse Bill (HB) 1264 defined residency to close the loophole allowing residents of other states to vote here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The NH House Election Law Committee met on 1\/10\/19 to hear testimony on both bills.<\/strong><br \/>\nThey are considering House Bills 105 and 106, which overturn the reforms of SB 3 and HB 1264.<br \/>\nHB 105 also prohibits follow up by the Secretary of State of voter verification letters and potential voter fraud.<br \/>\nThat includes investigating duplicates found through in the Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck program.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>GST<\/em> Chairman Ray Chadwick spoke against HB 105 and HB 106 to the House Election Law Committee.<\/strong><br \/>\nDeputy Secretary of State Dave Scanlan and Rep.
