Dec 21, 2017<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Tax Cuts &amp; Jobs Act:<\/strong><br \/>\nFlattened and reduced the various tax brackets and simplify the code.<br \/>\nReduced corporate tax rates to increase global competitiveness.<br \/>\nEncouraged repatriation of corporate funds from overseas to encourage investment in the US.<br \/>\nIncreased standard deductions and child tax credits.<br \/>\nEliminated or reduced special interest tax advantages and deductions.<br \/>\nReduced the impact of inheritance taxes. <\/p>\n<p><strong>The intent was to encourage investment in plants and jobs in the US, and to boost the economy.<\/strong><br \/>\nIt served it&#8217;s purpose, helping jump start a soaring economy and record low unemployment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/granitestatetaxpayers.org\/gst\/happy-tax-day-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> In 2019, H&amp;R Block reported the Act reduced their client\u2019s taxes by 24.9 percent on average.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/granitestatetaxpayers.org\/gst\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Hand-with-Money-2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
