by | Aug 27, 2014 | Press Releases, Special Alerts

Granite State Taxpayers surveyed primary candidates for their positions on topics of interest to taxpayers.

Candidates for the New Hampshire House and Senate were asked the following questions:
Would you oppose any income, sales, or consumption tax, and any other increase in the overall tax burden in New Hampshire?
Would you support decreasing state spending or at least stopping any increase in state spending?
Would you support limiting legal voting to permanent New Hampshire residents only?
Would you support requiring that all NH services that require residency use the same standard (voting, residency, in-state tuition, hunting, vehicle registration, etc.)?
Do you believe that state public school funding should be set by the legislature and not by the courts?
Would you support passing Right-to-Work legislation?
Would you support pension reforms for government employees including a transition from defined-benefit to defined-contribution plans?
Would you vote to terminate expanded Medicaid if the Federal contribution is cut?
Would you oppose casino gambling?
