GST Summer Meeting and Panel Discusion on Housing.
Over just the last five years median home prices in NH have ballooned 70% from $300,000 to over $500,000.
While some of that is inflation (home prices in the US are up 25% over the same period) most is supply not keeping pace with demand.
Please join Granite State Taxpayers for dinner and a wide-ranging panel discussion on housing policy:
Topics will be guided by audience questions, but will include:
– What are appropriate policy goals: lower prices, more starter homes, unleash the free market, more or less community involvement, …?
– Roles for developers, municipalities and the state?
– Specific issues of zoning, building code, tax incentives, density, etc.
Our panel of experts has decades of experience in New Hampshire on these topics:/strong>
