Granite State Taxpayers success results from the efforts of dedicated individuals fighting for the taxpayers and for small government, low taxes and controlled spending. Don Sisson was one of those individuals.
We are saddened to report that Don Sisson passed away recently. Following is his obituary.

HAVERHILL, Mass.
Donald A. Sisson, 85, of Haverhill, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 11, 2015, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.
He was born in Stoneham June 12, 1930, son of the late Frank “Les” and Gladys (Bartlett) Sisson.
Educated in the Stoneham school system, Mr. Sisson graduated from Stoneham High School, Class of 1947, and attended Northeastern University.
Mr. Sisson was employed as a salesman for Lever Bros., Johnson & Johnson, and Wells Lamont Co. from where he retired. In his retirement he owned and operated Direct Line Furnishings.
From 1978 to 1986 he and his wife owned and operated Lake Christopher Campground, Bryant Pond, Maine.
Prior to moving to Epping, N.H., in 1986, he resided in Lynnfield for over 19 years. While in Epping, Mr. Sisson was very involved in town and state politics and was a founder of The Granite State Taxpayers.
His survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara (Gay) Sisson, of Haverhill; a daughter, Kimberly G.Klemarczyk, and her husband, Stephen, of Haverhill, with whom he lived; two sons, Mark E. Sisson and wife Virginia of Eagan, Minn., Gary L. Sisson and wife Joan of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Marjorie Parker, and her husband, Charles, of North Berwick, Maine; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
