In the GST candidate surveys, 152 Candidates Committed to Sign the Americans for Tax Reform Pledge.

The Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) website presents the history and rationale for the Pledge:
Since its rollout with the endorsement of President Reagan in 1986, the Taxpayer Protection Pledge is offered to every candidate for state and federal office and to all incumbents.
Nearly 1,400 elected officials, from state representative to governor to US Senator, have signed the Pledge.

“GST wanted to help expand beyond the current 63 New Hampshire House members have signed it,” said GST Chairman Ray Chadwick. “In our candidate surveys, 152 candidates stated they would sign the Pledge.”

Granite State Taxpayers surveyed primary candidates for their positions on the ATR Pledge.
For Legislators:
Would you agree to take the ATR Pledge: “I will oppose and Vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.”?
For Governor and Executive Councilors:
Would you agree to take the ATR Pledge: “I will oppose and veto any and all efforts to increase taxes.”?

“Our work could more than double the number of officials pledged to stand with Taxpayers,” said Chadwick.
