Oppose
allowing private persons to sue for violations of election laws.

This bill allows for private parties to sue the state for assertion of violations of RSA 659, and make a formal complaint with the New Hampshire department of justice or the superior courts including claims representing a class. The low bar for filing a suit and the complexity of election law create the potential for ill-founded suits.
