GST Chairman Reviewed Status with Grover G. Norquist, President, Americans for Tax Reform.

Grover Norquist founded Americans for Tax Reform at the request of President Ronald Reagan.
ATR works to limit the size and cost of government, opposes higher federal, state, and local taxes and supports tax reform that moves towards taxing consumed income one time at one rate.

Grover is a board member of the NRA, the American Conservative Union, and the Center for the National Interest. He created the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, signed in the last election cycle by 212 US Representatives. 45 US Senators, 14 governors and 1,035 state legislators.

GST Chairman Chadwick and ATR President Norquist met when both attended a recent Right of Center meeting where Chadwick spoke about GST status and plans and Norquist was the Keynote Speaker.

Norquist originated, and co-sponsors, similar meetings in DC, 48 states and 21 overseas locations to facilitate communication and synergies between conservative groups. Local co-sponsors are Liberty Tree Consulting Principals Bill O’Brien and Stephen Stepanek.

Chadwick and Norquist met separately to update Norquist on GST history as the oldest statewide taxpayer group in New Hampshire, GST efforts in promoting election integrity and the recent balanced budget with business tax reductions, as well as future plans.

“We’re looking forward to a closer working relationship with Grover and Americans for Tax Reform, the foremost Taxpayer Advocates in the country,” said Chadwick. “Their expertise and experience will be a great help to Granite State Taxpayers in expanding membership and supporting New Hampshire Taxpayers.”
