“Taxes are the price that a state charges you to live or do business there.”
That’s an example of the type of insight Jonathan Williams brings to understanding tax policy.
Another is that “Taxes don’t redistribute income; they redistribute people.”
Williams, the Chief Economist, Executive Vice President of Policy, American Legislative Exchange Council, was in New Hampshire for the July 13, 2022 GST Sharpen the New Hampshire Advantage Summit, where he commented on Tax Reform in New Hampshire, what other states are doing and how we stay ahead.
GST Chairman Ray Chadwick interviewed Williams on July 14, 2022 at Bedford Community Television.
