Thoughts on Taxes for Tax Day July 15, 2020!
Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, let’s remember progress made on taxes and who was responsible.

Let’s remember some advocates of keeping taxes low to increase freedom:
Mel Thomson, co-founder of GST in 1990, an event we will celebrate on August 11, 2020.
“Low Taxes are the Result of Low Spending.”
Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, our Keynote speaker on August 11, 2020.
“Government creates wealth the way a tick creates blood.”
Milton Friedman:
“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand.”

Remember the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and the Republican Congress and President who signed it.
Here’s a list of the positive consequences of that legislation:
H&R Block reported the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act reduced their client’s taxes by 24.9 percent on average.
H&R Block data showed their New Hampshire clients saw overall tax payments go down 25.2 percent!
Americans for Tax Reform reported on How the Trump Republican Tax Cuts Are Helping New Hampshire.

Remember the Business Tax Reductions the Republican Legislature passed and Gov. Sununu signed.

Lower taxes allowed people and businesses to keep more of their income to use as they see fit.
Discretionary income increased consumer confidence and spending, and grew the economy and wages.

Then Democrats showed up for the 2018 election in greater numbers than Republicans.
In DC, that gave us a Democrat House, impeachment, the Take Responsibility for Workers and Families Act.
In Concord, Democrat control brought legislation like Sales Taxes on Lift Tickets and Electronics.

After 2018, we still had Trump and Sununu to stand up against these efforts to increase taxes.
Sununu vetoed 57 bills that targeted taxpayers, families, liberties and Second Amendment rights.
Taxes will go up if Biden becomes President.

We need to elect Taxpayer-friendly Executives and Legislatures in Washington and Concord!
In the 2020 election, remember what was done by prior Republican majorities in Washington and Concord.

We all need to Show Up on November 3, 2020 and elect people who believe in Low Taxes!
